I checked and I have a 39" grading bucket that moves a lot of dirt. If you add a thumb, your 12" bucket would be narrower than the pins and thumb unit. That's the next size bigger than mine, you're good to go. What is the weight of that machine? I have a Deere 35D, close to 8000 lbs, handles and came with 24, also have ditch bucket, 30 for sure, might be a 36, handles it OK. Really like the machine though as it was a rental. I cleaned a 1,000 foot of grader ditch out with a 331 and a 24" bucket in 2 days.

I used to have a 325 adn then got the 331 a year ago. The grading bucket works good on softer materials. If you put on a thumb, the 12" byucket is too narrow and will cause problems. Ran a 341 with a 3 foot ditch bucket and that worked great. For those of you who have used the 331, what is the best size bucket for digging in black dirt and clay? Will it handle a 24" bucket?
